Clayton County CASA Summer 2016 Training Class
Congratulations to our newly sworn-in CASA volunteers!
After completing more than 40 hours of classroom instruction and courtroom observations, our newest group of child advocates were officially sworn-in on
Tuesday September 13th 2016, at the Clayton County Juvenile Courthouse. Volunteers participated in our local volunteer training effort, where they joined together with the unified mission of advocating for abused and neglected children.
Family and friends captured the moment by supporting this commitment of rewarding experiences to help a child in need. These Court Appointed Special Advocates have officially taken the oath to act in good faith to advocate for the child’s best interest in court proceedings, the social service system, and the community. More specifically, these trained CASA Volunteers will work in conjunction with the Juvenile Court, Superior Court, the Department of Family and Children Services, and others from the community, to provide support services and bring relevant information, resources, and recommendations to the Court in the best interests of children.
Special thanks to the Friends of Clayton County CASA Advisory Board, Clayton County Juvenile Court, Honorable Judges, family, friends, and CASA staff members that make all efforts possible.
